  • Materials: 1-inch diameter round oak dowels, 1×2-inch hardwood for side rails, 1-inch wide thick leather belt straps (tan or black), brass upholstery tacks or Chicago screws, matte finish oil.

  • How to Make It:
    1. Cut two identical “A-frame” side assemblies from 1×2 wood and drill partial 1-inch holes into the inside faces.
    2. Cut horizontal dowel rods to a length of 16 inches.
    3. Glue dowels into the side frames to form an open, standing base structure.
    4. Cut leather straps to equal 14-inch lengths.
